Beardlet: The Vote

OK, guys. I need your opinion. I'm trying to decide what to do with my face. You see, recently I've added a little beardlet to the collection, like a mustache for my bottom lip.

Sometimes I like it, and sometimes I don't. I can be wishy-washy that way.

It's not itchy or hot like the full beard I tried last year, and I've gotten at least one compliment on it. It kind of gives me an artistic flair, just the kind of eccentricity required of a budding author.

But I can't decide if I want to keep it or not. So I'm turning to my faithful blog readers to offer up your non-binding votes. What do you think? Does the beardlet stay, or does it go?

Please note that the mustache is not part of the vote. In the last twenty years, the amount of time I've been without it can be measured in days (not counting the last few months of my mission). It's a permanent fixture.

Well...how to put it...

On some guys I don't like it, it just looks, oh, I don't know, like they fuss too much about their looks, with this precise litte thing.

But on you it looks good.

What does your wife say? She should have a lion's share of the votes :-)

Here's my opinion...I like it... but, Kara's opinion should be the only one that matters. But, if she wants to hear all arguments before making your decision... With the mustache and since I'm not sure I've actually SEEN you since the 9th grade, I pretty much see your dad. (Keep in mind you and your dad are 25 years younger in my mind!) So, with the beardlet, I can imagine a 40ish year old, Don. He looks good.

I like it. (Note: I'm not a good judge of 'cool' or 'sexy'. Only my wife has accused me of being either.) It definitely achieves the goal of looking more artsy. I vote keep it.

I like it--I think there is a special name for that kind of hair growth, but I can't remember what it is. Beardlet is good enough for me.

Is it easy to keep up?

Truth be told....
I don't like it. I think it makes you look like your trying to be young. (It's called a sole patch around here.) I've only seen one or two guys that I like it on and sorry Bro, your not one of them.

We have finally hung a picture on the wall here in our house. The fact that this is a blog-worthy event eighteen months after moving in is, I admit, rather pathetic. But it is also very exciting. With May being Lyme Disease Awareness Month, I want to share my “story” in hopes that someone will benefit from it – either by letting you know you are not alone or by helping you or someone you love receive a correct diagnosis. Many of you also know that I have been working away at my version of the Great American Novel for the last little while.
