We've Been to the Zoo

Alyssa's big activity present for Christmas was a family membership to the Fort Worth Zoo, and we finally went yesterday. As with our trip to Sea World, the weather was a balmy 80 degrees. Yeah, baby!

We saw meerkats

and giraffes

and a lot of other animals, but I'm not going to post pictures of any more on the blog. You know what lives in the zoo.

Here's one of the crew. Anna is finally getting the hang of shooting watchable video.

For some reason, this trip really wiped me out. It wasn't as long as the trips to Sea World, and really not any hotter. But man, oh man, I was a basket case yesterday afternoon.

It must be that time of the month. (Lyme symptoms supposedly cycle with the moon. Hey - I'll take any excuse...)

Comments

We always go to the zoo first thing Jan 1st. As you can imagine it's not very crowded at that time and the kids always have a good time.

I loved your big presents being gifts the whole family could enjoy together. Awesome! And Anna's reaction showed that there wasn't an ounce of disappointment. That was the truly awesome part. You're raising quality kids. Thanks.

I love it. What a great blog. Thanks so much for sharing. I am going you to the blogs I follow but...I must warn I am a bad follower. Usually when I see a comment that triggers something in my brain ;like " ohhh yeah, I need to go visit that deluded family."

See you around.

I'm not sure where were moving to actually. But I think its near Houston. I'm glad winter doesn't start till later. My hawaiian blood will freeze.

Nice lookin' zoo - lucky you!

It really is cool that you give activity gifts. We *almost* did that this year, then ... didn't. Maybe we can noodle over it this year and make the plunge, finally.

See? You're a positive example to the world!
